Here we go again!
With his successes at Le Mans and in the DTM, Pierre Kaffer is the highly decorated professional driver in the Juta Racing Team’s Pro-Am Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. The amateur driver’s seat was once again taken by Elia Erhart in 2025, who has been sharing the cockpit with his mentor for years. The home-grown talent from the Motorsport Club Nuremberg consistently manages to finance the expensive GT3 campaign with the help of loyal sponsors. Thus, our Raceland sticker was also back on the Nordschleife. Russian-born Alexey Veremenko and the fourth driver, who hails from Kyrgyzstan and competes under the pseudonym Selv, bring additional funding. As a loyal companion, the main sponsor’s nostalgic Veedol Girl was also back again in 2025.
For many, the black-and-gold livery is reminiscent of the glory John Player Special era, and visually, the Audi R8 of the Lithuanian Juta Racing Team was certainly one of the most beautiful cars on the track in 2025. Starting from 12th position after the top qualifying session, the team set off into the 53rd edition of the 24-hour classic in the Green Hell. Things rarely go off without a hitch at the Nürburgring, and so, alongside the race interruption, Veremenko’s high-speed spin in particular provided a moment of sheer terror. As the Audi did not hit anything, the race fortunately continued after a routine pit stop, and in the end the #8 finished 12th overall. In a few weeks’ time, the team will be back on the grid for the 2026 edition. Good luck!
